A commissioned piece by Acme Archives and Lucasfilm which is currently on sale as limited edition giclee prints.

It premiered earlier this year at The New York Comic Con and Art Expo New York. Mr. Lucas had to approve the artwork at various stages so it was both an exciting and nerve wrecking experience. Apparently he loved the finished result.

A walkthrough of it's creation can be found via my blog.

I've been asked to do a whole series of different characters which would be great if I could find time from my regular paid work.

I don't specialise in 3D only, so any critiques are welcome and appreciated.

The Eye Of Ogdru Jahad

This started off as an experiment with wrinkles and Zbrush's 'Cavity shader'.
As it developed, I decided to make it into a finished piece, using a Hellboy render from another project in the eye's reflection. Thus it became the showdown of Hellboy and his nemesis, Ogdru Jahad.
Overlayed textures in Photoshop, where colour changes and extra tweaking were also added.
Comments and crits are more than welcome

Thing

This is the THING from the comic book, The Fantastic Four.
My aim was to try and show the humanity behind the monster's facade. He's someone you don't want to mess with, but at the same time he can be a gentle giant when the need arises.
Any crits or comments are welcome.
